James Struthers:

With his deep blue eyes, disarming smile and cool, calm demeanor, James Struthers may be a 22 year old heartthrob; but his allure goes far beyond the sightlines. He's also an incredibly gifted songwriter and guitarist with a soulful voice and a young, a...spiring business man with relentless, DIY work ethic. "Nothing worth doing in life comes easy, and it doesn't feel like work to me," says Struthers "...I feel very lucky that I've found what I love in life, and even more lucky that I wake up every morning and get to do it." He's toured the country 5 times, released 2 EPs, 4 music videos, and has cracked the Canadian AC charts with his festive single 'Blue Christmas' in under 2 years. And there are no signs of stopping anytime soon. He and WCMA award winning 'Producer Of The Year' Arun Chaturvedi are working on a full length album to be released in the spring, which will be accompanied by North American tour dates. "He's prolific.. Every time I get together with him in the studio, or have a phone call, he has new ideas in the works," says his producer/manager Arun. "He has everything you need to be successful in this industrytalent, creativity, a keen business sense and a relentless work ethic.and he's the nicest guy you'll ever meet!"

Kate Morgan:

Most would count themselves lucky to have met their idols within a lifetime yet Kate Morgan has already shared the stage with those that have gone before her. After a tight and well received performance at the 2010 Lilith Fair in Calgary, Kate was invited onto the Vancouver stage for the finale where she performed alongside the likes of Sarah McLachlin, Sheryl Crow, and Erykah Badu. At just 16 years of age, Kate was the Lilith Fair Tour's youngest performer! Kate has now relocated from Kamloops to Vancouver BC where she continues to pursue music as a career and lifestyle; closer to her band, fellow writers and producers. While she gracefully takes all opportunities and success in stride, Kate's continual growth in all facets of her craft speaks to an unrelenting passion for music and to an uncommon determination. Growing up, Kate was blessed with a rich and varied musical education that included choir, voice, piano and band. It was not until 2008 however, after borrowing her grandfather's guitar, that Kate discovered her true passion and talent for music. For Kate, playing music and songwriting have always been a singular process and most guitar lessons gave way to recording sessions. After only a few months with the guitar, Kate recorded three original songs on a demo CD. Shortly thereafter, Kate was co-writing with many talented musicians; Bill Henderson (Chilliwack), Jesse Wainwright (State of Shock), Juno nominated Carly Rae Jepsen, Jeff Johnson, Jeff Dawson and Juno Award Winning Producer of the Year, Brian Howes. Kate quickly developed a loyal and burgeoning fan base throughout British Columbia and has played to many sold-out shows. She played as a solo acoustic act at many community oriented venues such as 'Music in the Park' in both Kelowna and Kamloops, the Olympic Games send-off in 2009 and the 2009 Juno Fest. As the engagements became more auspicious the Kate Morgan Band coalesced to include Dasha Duquette on Keyboards, Tobi Duquet on Drums, Johny Milstein on Bass and Austin Short. on Lead Guitar. Backed by this accomplished group of musicians, Kate went on to play at ten 'Olympic' gigs at venues such as GM Place, Pacific Coliseum and the Whistler Olympic Park. Despite February conditions in the alpine, the performance quality and work ethic of "the Kate Morgan Band" was noticed and this led to booking at the Telus World Ski/Snowboard Festival in April. In this same period Kate's more recent, and more mature, recordings were attracting attention. She was selected as Virgin Radio's "Best of BC" artist and now three of her songs are getting regular air play in Vancouver, Kamloops, Kelowna, Courtenay, Campbell River and CBC Radio One. The recording sessions led to relationships which brought Kate to the attention of Nettwerk Records. After a subsequent meeting with Terry McBride and an impromptu performance, Kate was invited to play at Lilith Fair in Calgary Alberta. Kate's song 'Lovin You' was selected by iTunes US and Canada for the Lilith Fair Compilation CD. Kate recently opened for Chilliwack, performed at the Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival and at Squamish Live this September. Kate's first EP, recorded at the Warehouse, and VanHowes studios, was released in May. It showcased the talents of an emergent songwriter and attracted the attention of fans and industry insiders alike. Television appearances on E-Talk, Urban Rush and the Midday Show and a CBC radio interview have increased Kate's exposure as have several You Tube offerings including a recent release of a nicely polished 'Lovin You' video. The next phase of Kate's career promises to be the most exciting. As a self-reliant, self-aware and fully immersed individual, Kate's music continues to mature and to engage, move and inspire those who listen.
